On Saturday, June 2, 2007, God allowed me to attend the Taste of Pinellas Food Festival at Vinoy Park in Saint Petersburg, FL.  I got there about 1pm wearing my shirt and hat printed with gospel messages (See picture above).  When I arrived I found out that due to the inclement weather, the event would not open until 5 pm.

In the mean time I went over to Baywalk and got a hamburger.  After that I walked over to the pier. While there a man named Tim approached me asking questions about my shirt and hat message. We talked briefly.  As I sat down to get some candy at a shop inside, Tim came back over to talk with me again. We ended up talking for an hour. God allowed me to share many things with him about the end of the Church Age and related issues. I even told him about how I was learning from God's written word that the "Living Water" flowing out of one vessel to another is something God uses in saving His Elect.

It was about 4:30 pm when we finished our conversation. It was time to head over to the food festival.  We rode the trolley over together.  I then set up outside the gate on a busy sidewalk on 5th Avenue Tim went inside to walk around. About a half hour later he came back out to where I was standing wanting to ask more questions.  We discussed Election and the faith that saves us. I told him about

Galatians 2:16 and how our faith is a work that we do after we are saved.

He went back in again only to come back out again a second time with more questions. The same thing happened again. Only this third time he brought his mother with him.

In Closing....

About 40 tracts were given out on Saturday by willing takers up until about 8pm. On Sunday about 25 gospel tracts were willingly received during the hours from 11:30am until 5pm.

Something unexpected happened on Sunday evening after 5pm. I was able to see my brother whose band was playing that evening around 5:45 - 7pm.  God allowed me to have more time with my brother and the lead singer of his band than any other time ever before whether it was before or after their concerts. In the course of our conversation, I told the lead singer that I like to pass out gospel tracts.   He told me that he has been reading in the Old Testament. I talked briefly with him about the spiritual nature of the written word of God.  I also explained that the historical parables in the Bible relate in some way to the Lord Jesus and his atonement.   I thought it was an encouraging visit.

I thank God for these opportunities that He has provided for sharing truths from His written word
