I arrived at the Saint Petersburg Pier area about
2:30 p.m., setting up on the approaching road to the Pier. I was very
thankful to be able to park close to the planned area of gospel
activity. I did not have to walk far.
God allowed me to have separate conversations concerning the Bible with 4 different people. Three of these conversations were more on the positive side. One couple I talked with even came back to talk again after they had read the literature. Another gentleman was also passing out Bible tracts (very different from our tracts), but took time to talk with me about many scripture passages and biblical concepts. Steve, a friend from our Bible study group in Tampa, arrived a little after 5 p.m. We coordinated our positions with cell phones. Steve was wearing a T-Shirt with a gospel message while he was distributing Bible tracts. God also allowed him to have several conversations concerning truths in the Bible, one being with a small group of people (see picture above). At one point, I went over to Straub Park where people were finding places up on the water's edge in order to view the fireworks later. I just walked from small group to small group, inviting people to take a Bible tract. Most everyone offered a tract took one. The tracts being offered included "The Lord Is at Hand," "Come Out of Her My People, and "The Christian and the Church Today." Around 500 tracts were distributed between Steve and me. (For examples of Bible tracts that you can download for free, please go to this link: Publishing the Gospel. ) As always, may God's perfect will be done. |
